While my mother is out of town, I am the lucky one who gets to stay with Jake. I relish the days with the little fur ball since I rarely get one-on-one time with him since I moved out five years ago. He eagerly greets me when I come home, snuggles at night, and gives me the biggest guilt trip in the world when I have to leave him.
Behold, the many faces of my almost 10-year-old little baby.
And that’s all I could ask for.
He is sooooo cute! 🙂
Thank you! I think so too, but I’m a little biased.
Such fun photos! (And I adore your captions, too!) Sending much love! 🙂
He tells me what to write, Karin. He’s a very funny little dog. 😉 Much love to you as well and have a great week!
He is adorable! Also very photogenic lol
When he’s not hiding from the camera, he can look quite cute. The key is to get him fat and happy with treats so that he just lays there and I can snap away. Thanks for stopping by, Kayley!
What a cutie patootie!
Thanks, Susie! If he weren’t so cute, we wouldn’t be able to forgive his crazy ways.
Doggie Cuteness Overload – thanks for the smiles and the laughs:) Happy Week!
You are so welcome, Renee! My mother has set up a camera for him so we can watch the cuteness all day long. Surprisingly, he’s a very boring little dog who spends his hours sleeping, but at least he looks good doing it. Happy week to you too! xoxo
How sweet. I totally love dogs. They are so fascinating and make the best faces.
Have fun with Jake. And get off the treadmill and play with him for heaven’s sake.

I had a great time with Jake, Patricia. I’m sad to say that my mom is coming home today so tonight I’ll be sleeping alone in my own bed without my little cuddle puppy. I did get off the treadmill eventually, but he wasn’t as interested in playing as he was about his next treat. Silly little boy!
Love that he eats waffles! So cute!
Oh, yes. He eats just about everything he can keep in his mouth and he always knows when something is made just for him. We make it a habit to set aside a little plain spaghetti and if pancakes (or waffles) are made, one will be Jake-sized. And we wonder why he is a relentless begger!
How wonderful not to worry about carbs! Jake is so lucky!
I love the quote at the top of the post 🙂 I had a sign that hangs in my bedroom that says this — it couldn’t be more true!
Jake is such a cutie! What breed is he? He looks a bit like my yorkie/maltese mix.
We think he’s a Jack Russell/chihuahua mix. I had him DNA tested a few years ago (my mom always wanted to do it so I surprised her one Christmas with the results), and it came back 100% chihuahua, but I’m not buying it. At 17 pounds, he’s way too big to be a chihuahua and he’s definitely part terrier. I mean, just look at him!
I was going to say… he definitely has some terrier kicking around in him! He reminds me a bit of a Wire Fox Terrier:
