Greetings from Costa Rica!
I am currently exploring this wonderfully lush Central American country with my darling friend, Karen. This trip has been in the works for over nine months and we are thrilled that we are finally here and ready for any adventure that comes our way. We have only been in the country for two days and already we are filled with giddiness for this tropical place.
I’ve been thinking a lot about how happy traveling makes me. I count down the days before a trip the way a child counts down to Christmas. I am filled with anticipation of the unknown. Nothing excites me more than exploring some place new for the first time. I love it! The rhythm of a new place, the sounds of the streets, the personality of each city I visit, it all thrills me to no end and as soon as one trip is over, I long for another.
Traveling gives me the opportunity to escape the life I know and dive into something new, much the way a new novel does for the avid reader. You can read the reviews and listen to personal anecdotes, but nothing compares to stepping foot on a new land with the desire to explore as much as possible.
I’ve definitely caught the travel bug ad I simply cannot understand why anyone could be content to never explore a land outside of their own familiar turf. To me, a life without travel is a life without curiosity and not one that I could ever imagine.
As a writer, traveling gives me the opportunity to collect stories and be able to share them with others. Some people are bored to tears when sifting through another’s travel photos or listening to another story of a faraway land, but not me. Sharing adventures with others makes me want to experience more. Each stamp in my passport is the key to a new story of adventures.
And one I hope never has an ending.
Beautiful Post – Great Share – Cannot Wait to Hear More About Your Adventures 🙂 Have Fun!
Thanks, Renee! We had an amazing time and I can’t wait to share all about it. 🙂
Costa Rica is on my “to see” list and I’m hoping to get there soon. I am an over-planner so when one trip is over, I immediately start planning another. I’ve got vacations planned for the next 2 years. I’m finally going to get to Alaska this fall. Yippee!!!
Take lots of pictures and be willing to share them, because I won’t be happy if you don’t.
Have a marvelous time, Jessica!

And I long to make you happy, Patricia. 😉 I just hope the cord for the camera isn’t in storage. That would be no bueno.
I’m so excited you’re heading to Alaska. I went there after I graduated from high school and I loved it. So beautiful and wild. I know exactly what you mean about planning the next vacation. The girls and I are already thinking about Greece next summer and have been planning Ireland in 2016 for a while. It’s just so much fun to see the world! I really hope you make it to Costa Rica. It was an amazing place and the wildlife was incredible. xoxo
I couldn’t agree more with your comments about travel. What is life without it? Enjoy CR!
Thanks, Patricia! I never realize just how much I enjoy traveling until I’m exploring a new place. It’s quite the passion of mine.
Have a great trip and explore your heart out. Travelling is such fun!
It really is, Phil. We had a marvelous time and I can’t wait to share all about it.
