It’s Been Another Year. No Need For Flowers.

December 31st has been a special day for the last four years.  It’s the day I reflect on all that I have learned since I began this blog on this day.  Now I know that I’ve been pretty absent the last three months, but life does that.

My mom opened a business and I’ve been helping her with it.  I was also selected for a new position at work so between training my replacement, learning the new position, and being my mom’s right hand woman, free time has been pretty scarce.  Plus, they changed the internet settings at work so I can’t even read blogs during my free time on the job.  Ridiculous, I know.

And it’s funny that I’ve had no time to write because I’ve had so much to say lately.  Back in April, I decided to rebrand and refresh this blog.  I purchased a new domain name, I looked for new ideas, I made plans.  As you can tell, it hasn’t happened yet.  We’re still Defining Wonderland and you know what, that’s ok.  It’s not a terrible thing that I’ve been so busy living my life that I haven’t had a chance to write about my life.  I hope you all will stick with me as I fight to balance three jobs and one blog.  I thank you for coming around thus far and I hope you’ll forgive my absence in the blogosphere.

I closed out the year by taking my mom to see Idina Menzel in If/Then at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood (which really was the perfect story to end a year).  I am currently on my second bottle of champagne and watching Trainwreck while the kitties run around upstairs.  I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect end to 2015.

The New Year is always a time to look back on the past year and reminisce on everything that has happened, but I’m not going to do that.  I will tell you that I’ve grown as a person and I hope you all have too.  If we are not learning, we are dying.

Keep learning.  Keep living your lives.  Keep being you.

I promise you won’t regret a second of it.

I don’t care how busy you’ve been—-in Feb you are strapping on your hiking boots and we are doing that boot camp march to the sea!!
    love you lots!
    Happy New Year!
    love you, Auntie Kathy xoxo

Don't let me do all the blogging, join in the conversation. Otherwise, I just feel like I'm talking to myself...
